To lead a cooperative effort in revitalizing and enhancing the downtown of Chilliwack to make it a better place to work, live, shop, visit and have fun.

Kathy Funk
Executive Director 

Kathy oversees the day-to-day and long-range operations and liaisons with City of Chilliwack, RCMP, ICBC and community service providers.  You'll hear her on Star.FM promoting downtown events.  She also welcomes new businesses to town.
 

Harold Zinke
Downtown Street Cleaner

Harold is our street ambassador, our ‘eyes on the street’ and is always ready with a friendly smile.

Harold was named "Employee of the Year" at the 2007 Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.

Jessica
Events Coordinator

Jessica helps coordinate the fun activities that the BIA puts together every year.  Party in the Park, The Parade of Lights and Sound and Village Classic are all very popular events that she has worked hard to help create.

Debbie - Administrative Support

Debbie joined us at the Downtown Chilliwack BIA office in February 2010 and has been kept very busy learning the ropes.  She has been working on updating the website, blogging and establishing our new Facebook page.  Debbie also enjoys helping Jessica and Kathy organize the different Downtown Chilliwack events and is looking forward to her first Party in the Park this summer.

Sarena Myers-Downtown Street Cleaner

Sarena is the newest member of the Downtown Chilliwack BIA team and our new street cleaner. She will join Harold in keeping Downtown Chilliwack clean as well as acting as a “street ambassador”.
 

Downtown Ambassadors/Safety Bike Patrol

The BIA is fortunate in receiving an ICBC grant to assist in funding our Safety Bike Patrol Program. Six days a week officers patrol the downtown streets and work closely with the RCMP Community Policing in carrying out the ongoing BIA commitment to safe streets downtown.
