The Downtown Chilliwack BIA seventh Party in the Park for the summer of 2010 has ended and wow was it an amazing evening.  After the success of  our opening night I didn't believe we would be able to top it but I was wrong.  In my opinion, and going by the feedback I have received from the party attendees, the party has gotten better and more exciting  every week.  Kudos to our illustrious host, Trevor McDonald, who has found unique and talented musicians to perform on the Coast Capital Stage each and every Friday at Party in the Park.  Mandy Watts and her team have also been instrumental in putting together one of the biggest and best Night Markets in the Valley, with over 60 vendors each Friday night.  Our Safeway/Prime Signs Family Fun Zone has been a huge success this year with all the added activities for the children and I have had  many great volunteers to help me run the craft and bakers areas. The Sabrina vandenBrink sponsored facepainting area was also very popular and we must extend a big thanks to Carolyn and all her talented students.  This year we had four theme nights and I have received a tremendous amount of positive feedback, so I am going to add in another four additional themes for next year's event.  We would also like to thank the Chilliwack Players Guild for helping make the theme nights such a success and we look forward to your group being involved again next year.  Without the support of our generous sponsors and helpful volunteers the Party in the Park would not be as successful as it is each year.  We must acknowledge the wonderful community of Chilliwack and all the people who attend our yearly summer party.  Thank you Chilliwack. You Rock!
