Our friends at The Book Man and 98.3 Star FM challenged the Downtown BIA staff to take the challenge to read for 20 minutes a day for 21 days as part of the City Wide Literacy Challenge and we said "yes!"

Dependable, cheerful Downtown streetcleaner, Harold Zinke, takes time during his lunch break to devour the popular Twilight series. Executive Director, Kathy Funk, spends part of her evenings taking in Your Dreams Are Still Possible by inspirational speaker Peter Legge. Desmond Devnich, Coordinator, has been studying a President Ronald Reagan biography.

I'll update you next week on what Office Manager, Debbie Biggin, and streetcleaner Sarena Myers have been reading during the City Wide Literacy Challenge. For more information on this Chilliwack Learning Community Society initative, visit www.chilliwacklearning.com
